Binocle qui tient sur le nez grâce à une pince à ressort. Synon. lorgnon. Ajuster, mettre un/son pince-nez. Ses lunettes d'or se brisèrent par le milieu et tombèrent sur la table. Ce petit accident le dérangea fort peu. Il prit un pince-nez à ressort d'acier et fit changer les lunettes sur le quai des Orfèvres (ABOUT, Nez notaire, 1862, p.176). Portant un pince-nez d'or au lieu des antiques lunettes (MAUPASS., Contes et nouv., t.2, Soirée, 1883, p.1268). Quand le général de La Monnerie entra, ils levèrent leurs pince-nez de dessus leurs journaux (DRUON, Gdes fam., t.1, 1948, p.173).
